The nearest airport is Stockholm Arlanda. It is about 1.5 h drive to Stockholm for those renting a car.
There is also a train connection with Gävle directly from the airport. From Gävle you then need to switch to either another train, bus or taxi for the remaining 30 minutes of travel.
