HIP focusing on the Future
7-8 March 2023 -Dresden
DO YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITIES AND SOLUTIONS HIP TECHNOLOGY OFFERS THE FUTURE OF INDUSTRY?
The global challenges we face this decade place a demand on materials and process unprecedented. HIP technology can meet and support these demands through bold and progressive solutions and beyond simple densification. We invite you to join EPMA’s two-day HIP Seminar in an exciting chance to collaborate, grow, and learn more about HIP technology and its future applications. HIP providers, end-users, innovators, and metallurgists are all invited to this forward-thinking seminar to collaborate, drive the global transition, and turn game changing-ideas into reality.

The seminar will focus on the future of HIP from two different perspectives. First one is to investigate HIP as a stand-alone process for neat-net shape forming in special applications such as nuclear power plant components, off-shore usage in oil & gas industry. Latest global energy crisis has indicated a necessity for further developments of HIP in that direction, particularly for design and production of critical components of the energy industry. Second perspective is the use of HIP as a post-process to improve the mechanical properties of components manufactured either by conventional methods like casting or by recent technologies like Additive Manufacturing. Actually, HIP is becoming a perfect solution to overcome the main drawback of Additive Manufacturing, i.e. limited mechanical properties and anisotropy of 3D printed parts.

In addition to presentations from the experts of the industry, interactive sessions such as panel discussions will also take place in the seminar aiming to find out how will HIP evolve in the future to overcome its current limitations and fulfil in the requirements of its end-users.
Hosted by Fraunhofer IFAM in Dresden, the event will provide a platform for networking, presentations from key areas, and culminating in a chance to have an exclusive tour of the Fraunhofer IFAM facilities.
